my name is ignis/hya, i've been doing this for awhile. i'm coming back to xiv rp after having no small amount of terrible experiences, so please have patience for me getting used to things again. i also wanted to note (as you will probably be able to tell shortly) that i am naturally very terse in tone, but i try to communicate as best as i can and appreciate your understanding. thank you!01. ic ≠ ooc. just because my character can be rude doesn't mean i am. just because my character might flirt with yours does not mean i specifically am interested in you ooc. please respect the divide between character or writer.02. if i say no, it means no. this pertains to anything and everything this could be in context to; consent is key in all manners of speaking, and if i don't want to do something, i won't.03. i do not care about your specific hate boner for "lore-bending". if you cannot find it in you to write with someone because you think it "breaks lore", i am definitely not the rp partner for you.04. i prefer roleplay over discord for long posts & longer plots; it's just significantly more comfortable for me, and also serves as an archive for writing. this isn't to say "i'll never rp in-game"— definitely not the case— but given ooc circumstances, it's just easier and more comfortable for me overall. that being said, i don't hand out my discord willy-nilly, so... we'll see what happens!05. i am ok with all forms of roleplay, but i do have my own triggers i would prefer to disclose privately. likewise, this may include explicit rp, but i am very rusty and also picky about who to engage in that with. tl;dr: we need to be friends and for you to have my trust first. please and thank you!06. i will usually disclose why, but if i step away from a roleplay suddenly, it's usually for a reason. i reserve this right for the sake of my own sanity & comfort! and i expect the same for you as well.07. unsurprisingly... 18+ for mun and muse, please! i may make an exception for muse if it's really interesting (or natural), but generally speaking... i don't think that'll ever be the case, for my own personal comfort. sorry!

scythe for hire in eorzea, cygnus has taken to picking up odd jobs and mercenary work to keep himself fed. as of right now, you could ask him for something, and he'll probably be down with just about anything— as long as you pay well, and the risk doesn't outweigh the reward.rock and roll! since coming to eorzea, cygnus has found himself drawn to music of the rougher variety, especially whatever eorzea's equivalent of "rock" might be. (i mean, we've got electric guitars, so...?) he's equally drawn to other folks who like the same, although he might be a bit reluctant to say as much immediately.reaper. cygnus was trained in the military to fight with a scythe, and many of his techniques look to be derived from the same used by the "true" reapers of lapis manalis— however, he does not have a voidsent avatar, and therefore cannot accomplish many of the same feats without it. doesn't make him any less capable with the weapon itself, though.old face. for better or worse... cygnus served in the garlean military for a very long time, only defecting when the empire fell. and cyborgs aren't exactly a dime a dozen— if your character served, it's plenty possible they may have heard of him, especially since he served more than long enough to achieve citizenship. (for all the good that did him...)magitek. just because he's full of the stuff, doesn't mean cygnus knows how to manage his own tech; one of the biggest struggles he's faced since traveling to eorzea is trying to maintain his body without the engineers and resources available to them in the imperial military. a good engineer— that he can really, truly trust— would be priceless.weapon. speaking of— regardless of where you hail from, it's not hard to see that he's been augmented very heavily with magitek. he avoids imperials where possible, but eorzea is foreign to him in many ways. likewise, a lot of eorzeans turn him away— and often unkindly, associating him with the atrocities of the war— which leaves him something of a loner. he's still figuring out his place on this new continent, especially with how much of his life he lived in garlemald... to say that it's very different is an understatement, and shows.
